Actor | Producer

Gideon is an actor, director, dancer, writer, and producer based in New York City.

Growing up in Sacramento, California, Gideon dedicated 6 years of his life to becoming a professional ballet dancer, winning worldwide competitions and choreographing his own work. This experience planted a seed of passion and creation for the arts that continued into his exploration of theatre at 14. At that time, he began creating, crafting, and collaborating on stages regionally.

From then on, his passion took root in the form of creating his own works- his first short being produced by BraveMaker Productions at just 14 (Dinosaurs and Bumblebees) under the tutelage of Director Tony Gapistone and seeking professional theatre training. This set the framework to produce and direct his own works in his hometown of Sacramento. His first play, written and directed by himself alongside Abrielle Chapin (When I Say I Love You), was produced at William Jessup University by Kelly Ann Dunn.

From the foundation Gideon built for himself, based on values of making socially conscious, collaborative, and story-driven theatre, he took the leap after graduating high school at 16 and flew to his new home, New York City. There, he immediately began training at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre while simultaneously building a life in the theatre community- doing plays in between training.

He debuted at The Tank Theatre with Sprawl by Michael Ronca, directed by Jordan Westfall, from which Gideon was nominated by Broadway World for best actor in a play (off-off-Broadway); following this, Gideon did a musical by Miller and Harlow called Funeral for a Dog that later did a run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. When he landed back in New York, He applied for the 2-year full-time conservatory at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre and was accepted, making him the youngest person to have ever been accepted (the exception being Jeff Goldblum)

During his time over the last two years, he trained as an actor and director, continued shadowing his mentor Joe Wood on productions throughout New York (Common Wall at New York Summer Theatre Festival), eventually co-directing a production alongside Joe (Wink by Jen Silverman), out of which births The Ephemeral Players, A Non-Profit Theatre company with a mission to create actionable, and accessible theatre in new your city, they partner with NYC based Non-Profits on works of theatre that support their partner orgonizations all while having a baseline ticket price of just $20. And in just five years, the seed Gideon planted in Sacramento grew into one of the very few trees in New York City. Gideon continues to produce, direct, and act in plays alongside his duties as Associate Artistic Director of the Ephemeral Players.

Additionally working with major playwright John Patrick Shanley. In the fall of 2025, Gideon performed in Prodigal Son as Jim Quinn, directed by Michael Herwitx (Broadway’s JOB), alongside Stephany Courtney (Flo from Progressive), and later did a new play written and directed by John Patrick Shanley called Zebra Woman, playing the lead, Amos.

Gideon is freshly graduated, in production for four plays as an actor (Orphans by Lyle Kessler as Philip, Land of Nod by Anthony Panino as Adrian, 5 Steps to Transcendence by John Patrick Shanley as Multiple Characters, and Backstory by Joan Ackermann as Ethan) as well as working alongside the ephemeral players producing an entire season of actionable, accessible theatre.
